1 Speak toGimli (Show dialog)
'I followed Éomer and Aragorn not for hope of glory, but only to shake the sleep from my eyes! The wild-men seemed rather too large for me, so I sat beside a stone and watched their swordplay. When Éomer ran afoul of the Orcs I could not stand idle! If he wishes to repay me the favour, I am certain he will have opportunity enough as the night progresses!
'My count now is two! I must tell Legolas, and see how he fares. But he is a fighter. That minstrel of the King's, the one who travelled with you for a time... Gléowine? You should find him and tell him how the battle progresses. He will need to make a song of this, if we survive the night. Make certain he knows how I saved Éomer by the causeway! It would be a shame if he did not include a verse or three about that.'0/1
2 Speak toGléowine (Show dialog)
'How goes the battle? It is said that the finest warriors can tell the number and strength of an enemy force simply by listening to the sound of their cries and their weapons, but it is not so with me. I am no warrior, and to me the sound of battle is a tumult without meaning.
'The barrel of swords got knocked over in the confusion. Could you take some time to set it back upright? Then you should enter the Hornburg and speak with Théoden my master.'
Interacting with the tipped-over barrel near Gléowine will allow time to pass. Action will resume in the hours before dawn, with the next onslaught of the enemy.0/1

4 Speak toThéoden (Show dialog)
'The night wears on, and the enemy shows no sign of relenting. We have lost many men on the wall, but for each loss we claim a dozen enemy lives. This is not a favourable exchange for us, Player, though it speaks well of our fighting prowess. We will run out of defenders well before Saruman's forces tire of the fight.
'We must defend the Deep! Rally our soldiers, and fight back for as long as you are able!'
There are two ways to participate in the defence of the Deeping-coomb. You can speak to Háma for the Storied Tale, a story-focused experience. Or you can use the Epic Battles Panel for a more gameplay-intensive experience.
To participate in the defence of the Deep, open the Epic Battles Panel and select 'The Deeping-coomb' from the menu. After you successfully complete the defence, you will be returned to the location from which you entered it.0/1
'That explosion destroyed much of the Deeping Wall! Many of our allies may be dazed or wounded by the blast, and even if they still survive they will not last long.
'We must get to the breach quickly! Make for the first level, and hurry east to the breach in the wall to do what you can!'0/1
'The blast knocked me down, Player, even from such a distance. Béorcla and Fisc were not so fortunate. They were much closer. Foul craft of Saruman!
'We must retreat! There are too many, and they will be through the breach and upon us in no time!'0/1
8 Speak toAragorn (Show dialog)
'I have still not found Gimli, but I heard tell that he might have been pushed back to the Glittering Caves during the fighting. He is a staunch fellow, but the fighting is very heavy around the caves.'0/1
